A Day To Remember

The childhood dream. The dating. The promise. The commitment. The proposal. The acceptance. The planning.

Your wedding. The joy. The smiles. The kisses. The glances. The dances. The beginning of your life together.

The wedding is the start of a new phase in your life. As such, it is one of the most significant events you will experience, ranking up there with graduations, engagement, births and special anniversaries. And with this importance comes a desire to preserve the happiness, emotions, and memories of the day. The best, most efficient way to do this is to capture your wedding day's events on video and have it edited into a personalized movie.

Capturing Your Day

Motion Memories by Nic is always pleased and honored to be invited by you to help capture your special day. Recording your day is done with discretion and an attempt to be unobtrusive, allowing things to happen as they would even if the camera were not present. We are not there to make a huge production and direct a major motion picture (unless that meets your needs), but to simply document your events as they occur throughout your special day.

Preparation for your wedding video begins once the contract is signed. Your day's events and your expectations of how your video should look are discussed and noted. When it is time for the rehearsal at your locale, MMbN is there to check camera placement and shot setup. As determined at the rehearsal, the two-three cameras are set up on tripods and MP3 recorders placed with the groom and on the alter, allowing your day to be set up for optimal recording. It is all eventually synched up and edited into a personalized DVD video presentation that you will be able to enjoy each time you view it.

There is always an attempt to have one camera placed upon the alter for a unique perspective (provided it is approved by the facility and/or officiate of your ceremony) and one camera place at the rear of the church or location. There is a hand held camera used to capture different angles and special reactions by you and your guests. The MP3 recorder is very small and is placed in the groom's jacket pocket to more clearly capture the exchanging of the vows. Depending on the video package you create, we can also document your receiving line and departure to the reception, as well as the traditional reception events such as the toasts, cake cutting, tosses and special dances.

Completing Your Story

Once your event is done, MMbN goes to working synching the video and audio, creating a unique highlight presentation of your day. Music from your wedding day is added to evoke flowing movement and emotion, personalized to your taste in music and in an effort to recreate your vision of the day. Personalization is not only part of your edited video presentation, but also in the printing of the DVD disc and label cover.

MMbN can begin the wedding video production at the very start of your day until its very end, capture only your wedding ceremony, or record just your reception. It is all based on you, your desires and your budget. Yet whether you choose to use the full production services offered by MMbN, the editing services for the video that Uncle Bob or friend Sue shot, or the creation of a photomontage of pre-wedding, wedding and honeymoon photos and/or video, Motion Memories by Nic is prepared to help you preserve your special day for a lifetime of joy in a production that is all about you.
